Dumpster Commerce
The Ask
Create a seamless experience that allows users to quickly identify dumpster solutions that fit their needs across both residential and commercial business lines.
The Research
Since we were designing for 2 product lines, we needed to create an experience that identified our customer and provide results accordingly. We had multiple entry points into the e-ccomerce flow which allowed us to create a single journey regardless of use case.
Given that dumpsters varied by size, we also needed to help users understand the scale and difference of each container. Using people and dimensions proved to be the best way for users to identify the "correct" size to fit their needs.
The Design
We began by framing the most important content and CTA's. We then focused on the information architecture and making the page scannable for relevant content easily to reduce cognitive load.
Once we had the initial wireframe completed, we wanted to test our assumptions with users and review with stakeholders to make sure we aware of any future features and allow for scalability.
The Result
A resounding increase in online sales with a lower cart abandonment rate. When paired with the MyWM experience as a whole, we were able to reduce call volume by almost half.
